What a wonderful way to wake up on Monday morning and see I made Editor’s Choice for the beginning and the end of my trilogy. I love all my stories and I fall in love with my characters, even the not so likeable ones (e.g., Bunny, LOL!!). However, The Forbidden Trilogy was one of the most emotional stories for me as I wrote. It was inspired by Black Panther and my niece who was 2 years old at the time. We were all watching Black Panther on premiere night at the movies and at the climatic battle between Black Panther and Killmonger, my intuitive niece yelled at the screen, “Brothers, stop fighting!” How profound and deep on so many levels. It inspired me to tell a story about what would happen when two brothers fight over love. In regards to sales, it has not done as well as Endgame, in part I believe because of the taboo nature of the forbidden love between Kameron and Bakari, but again I would and have written for free. So if one reader is touched by anything I write, then I’ve done my job!!!
But it still feels good when a reviewer gets your work and loves it like I did!!! To living your passion and an Amazing summer!!!
